1. Web design ranges from the simplest of designs to the most complex forms of web-based applications. You want your audience to open your web page and say "WOW, that's a piece of art! Show me more!".
2. Web design encompasses many different skills and disciplines in the production and maintenance of websites.

Some areas of Web Design include: graphic design* (see TMP definition),interface design, user experience design; and search engine optimization (SEO) -- oh and don't worry about Googling all those fancy words, we'll take care of the brain busters for you! 4. Interface Design: deals with the process of developing a method for two (or more) modules in a system to connect and communicate. These modules can apply to hardware, software or the interface between a user and a machine. Now lets break this down... Interface design incorporates GUI design, (graphical user interface; is a type of user interface that allows users to interact with electronic devices through graphical icons and visual indicators) which is basically everything you see on your computer such as icons, toolbars and menus...we just make it prettier!
5. User Experience Design: the process of enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty by improving the usability, ease of use, and pleasure provided in the interaction between the customer and the product. Let us ponder for a moment, a website with awesome effects and great animations, however, if the effects and animations display something silly or irrelevant to the end-user than the design becomes quite useless. User experience design is the aesthetics and functionality that goes on in the background of software/web design
6. Search Engine Optimization (SEO): the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine's "natural" or "organic" search results. In general, the earlier (or higher ranked on the search engine results page), and more frequently a site appears in a search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine's users. SEO considers how search engines work, what people search for, the actual search terms or keywords typed into search engines and which search engines are preferred by their targeted audience. It's like having another employee, scouring cyber space in order to optimize your traffic! This is the only time we can say that traffic is a good thing! This is more relatable to rolling the windows down and cruising the open roads on a summer day.
